Spartan Named Northern Athletics Conference Women's Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week
Aurora University women�s soccer player, sophomore forward Jessica Novickas (Highland Park, IL/Highland Park HS) was named the Northern Athletics Conference Women�s Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week for the NAC Conference Tournament week.
On the week in which Novickas earned the award, she had one goal and one assist in AU's 2-0 week in the Northern Athletics Conference Tournament. AU won the tournament to go along with the regular season Northern Athletics Conference championship.
Novickas had the assist in AU's 1-0 championship game victory over Dominican University and had AU's first goal in the 2-1 win in the semifinal over Concordia University Wisconsin.
Thus far on the season, Novickas has scored a team leading 18 goals, dished out six assists and has a team high five game-winning goals.
Novickas and the Spartan women�s soccer team will travel to the University of Chicago on Saturday, November 10, 2007, to take on the host Maroons in the NCAA Division III Championships. Game time has been set for 11:00 a.m. in Chicago, IL.
