Player of the Week
Terrance Johnson, Stevens Institute of Technology

Johnson recorded the game-winning goal in double overtime against both Nazareth and RIT. He scored early in each second overtime period to give the Ducks a 2-1 win over the Golden Flyers on Saturday and a 1-0 victory over the Tigers on Sunday.

Goalie of the Week
Zach Carr, Stevens Institute of Technology
Fr., GK, Carmel, IN/Carmel HS
Carr yielded one goal total in three consecutive overtime wins by Stevens. He posted shutouts over Kean and RIT, and earned the victory in a 2-1 win over Nazareth.

Empire 8 Men�s Soccer Notes�

Stevens and Utica have each clinched a spot in the Empire 8 Men�s Soccer Championship tournament� Freshman forward Jeremy Brand scored both goals in a 2-0 Elmira win over Wells� Junior Andy Wilhelm posted back-to-back shutouts, not yielding a goal in 200 minutes as Ithaca played St. John Fisher to a scoreless tie and stopped Alfred 5-0. The win over the Saxons broke a five-game winless streak for the Bombers in which they had not scored a goal. The Bombers improved to 35-3-5 against the Saxons dating back to 1967� Sophomore forward Luke Lennox tallied twice as St. John Fisher defeated Elmira 4-0 on Sunday. Sophomore goalie Adam Durst did not allow a goal in 200 minutes of the win over the Soaring Eagles and a scoreless tie with Ithaca� Senior forward Evan Dufault scored three goals and added three assists in a 3-0 week for Utica. He scored once and assisted on another goal in all three wins, 4-1 over SUNY IT, 2-1 over RIT, and 3-1 over Utica. He entered the week ranked third in NCAA Division III in assists per game. Senior goalie Andrew Miller made 21 saves in the three games and now has eight wins this season, three more than his first three seasons combined. The Pioneers, who last won eight games in the 1995 season, earned victories over the Tigers and Golden Flyers for the first time in the program�s history. Senior forward Nick Callahan scored two goals and assisted on another in the three games.
