JENNIFER ALBUJA RANKED THIRD NATIONALLY IN POINTS PER GAME, FOURTH IN GOALS PER GAME

INDIANAPOLIS, IN�The NCAA released its first weekly Division III women�s soccer national statistical report for the 2008 season on Wednesday, and to no one�s surprise New Jersey City University sophomore striker JENNIFER ALBUJA (Union City, NJ/Hoboken) is currently among the Top 5 nationally in both goals and points per game.

Among thousands of players at the 419 Division III schools that sponsor women�s soccer, Albuja is tied for No. 3 in the country in points per game at 7.00. Goucher College�s Sisley Pumilia is the current leader at 9.00.

Additionally, Albuja is tied for fourth in the nation in goals per game at 3.00. Northland College�s Sarah Strobino leads at 4.00. Overall, Albuja has nine goals and three assists for 21 points over her first three games.

Albuja also ranks tied for 11th nationally in assists per game at 1.00. Her counterpart on attack this season, freshman forward NICOLE SARICA (Linden, NJ/Linden) is also tied for 11th nationally at 1.00 per game and is tied for 36th in points per game (3.00). She has three goals and three assists in three games.

Behind Albuja and Sarica, NJCU is currently ranked tied for 13th as a team in Division III in scoring offense at 5.00 per game.

Even more notable is that the Gothic Knights�off to the best start in program history at 3-0�are tied for the best Won-Loss-Tied percentage in the country at 1.000. NJCU is one of only 62 schools among 419 nationally still undefeated more than a week into the 2008 season.
