Maroons Tie Wabash 1-1
CHICAGO -- Edgar Friloux scored the Maroons' only goal early in the second half as the University of Chicago men's soccer team battled Wabash College to a 1-1 double-overtime tie Sunday at Stagg Field.
Friloux received a long pass from Andy Dallos and fired a 20-yard shot past Wabash goalkeeper Pat West 7:50 into the second half to even the score at 1-1.
Wabash (2-1-1) opened the scoring at the 41:30 mark when Andrew Pearcy tallied from 12 yards away off an assist from Femi Oluyedun.
West made six saves for Wabash, while fChris Giusto stopped eight shots for the Maroons (2-1-1). Two of Giusto's saves came in overtime.
Wabash held a modest advantage in shots, 21-17, including a 5-4 edge in the overtime periods.
