Agyei, Lopez, and Santos selected to CUNYAC All-Star Team
FLUSHING, NY � The City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) has announced its 2007 postseason men�s soccer award winners and all-stars, and three City Tech Yellow Jackets have been selected to the first and second all-star teams.
Forward Tony Agyei (Yonkers, NY / Roosevelt) was selected as a first team all-star. In his first season as a Yellow Jacket, Agyei scored eight goals in only nine games played. On October 17th vs. CCNY, Agyei scored twice before suffering a season-ending injury.
Fellow forward Richar Lopez (Queens, NY / Grover Cleveland) was selected a second team all-star for the third straight year. Like Agyei, Lopez also scored eight goals this season, adding two assists. Lopez finishes his outstanding three-year career at City Tech with 20 goals scored.
Freshman defender Javier Santos (Mount Vernon, NY / Mount Vernon) was also selected as a member of the second team all-stars. Santos played in 14 games for the Yellow Jackets this season, and his stellar defensive play anchored the Yellow Jackets surprise 2nd round appearance in the CUNYAC Championship Tournament.
